Art in Symbols

Every day students in various Hebrew classes here at the U of A walk underneath this piece of art which has been photographed by Kappa Alpha Theta resident, Kristin Snyder. This piece of art was envisioned and designed by a University of Arizona student many years ago. The photograph, "Art in Symbols," was taken in order to show how important Jewish identity is to many University of Arizona students.

A Place to Learn

This photograph entitled "A Place to Learn," was taken by Tucson native Matthew Landau. It shows an unoccupied classroom which is usually filled with students who are taking Hebrew and Judaic Studies courses here at the U of A. While many students lose contact with their religious culture and affiliation, this photograph shows the importance of learning and retaining Jewish culture on campus.

Oy Vey Cafe

The photograph titled, "Oy Vey Cafe," was taken by Matt Landau in the Hillel building on the University of Arizona campus. This photograph shows Jewish students enjoying the Kosher restaurant on campus during a break from classes. This photograph was taken to show that there is a strong desire to many students to continue following their traditions of keeping Kosher even while off at college.
